Terms of Use
App: Noise Complaint: dB Meter Log
Effective date: June 14, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Noise Complaint: dB Meter Log application (the "App"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
The App provides noise level measurement, incident logging, noise law reference, and evidence documentation features to help users record and organize information about noise disturbances. We may add, change, or suspend features without advance notice where permitted by law.
The App is provided "as is." We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every device or your specific purpose.
3. Accounts
Use of the App's core features does not currently require you to create an account with us. If the App later offers sign-in or server sync, any additional terms (if applicable) will be disclosed in the App or updated in this document.
You are responsible for safeguarding any account credentials (if applicable) and for all activity under your account.

4.5 Refunds
Refund, return, or billing disputes for transactions on the App Store or Google Play are generally handled under Apple's or Google's policies, not directly by us, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
5. Disclaimer on Decibel Measurements and Noise Law Data
The decibel readings produced by the App are estimates based on your device's built-in microphone and are provided for personal documentation purposes only. They are not certified or legally admissible acoustic measurements and may deviate from professional instrumentation by ±3 dB or more depending on your device and environment.
Noise law information in the App (including decibel limits, quiet hours, penalties, and regulatory references) is provided for general informational purposes only. It may not reflect the most current or complete local regulations. You are responsible for independently verifying applicable laws and consulting qualified legal or acoustic professionals before taking any legal action.
The App is a documentation tool designed to help you organize personal records. Use of the App does not guarantee that generated reports will be accepted as evidence by any authority, court, landlord, or property manager.
6. Limited License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You must not:
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code, except where law prohibits such a waiver
- Rent, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App
- Use the App to violate law, third-party rights, or Apple/Google terms
- Interfere with or overload related systems, networks, or services
- Use the App to harass, intimidate, or make false claims against any individual or organization
7. Intellectual Property
All content in the App (UI, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, audio, software, noise law database, report templates, and overall look and feel) belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in Section 6.
8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use or inability to use the App, including loss of evidence or data resulting from device failure, app removal, or OS changes.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of decibel measurements, the completeness of noise law data, or the legal effectiveness of generated reports.
- Local data loss (for example from uninstalling the App or device failure) is outside our reasonable control — back up your exported PDF or ZIP files using external storage if preservation is important.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, limitations apply only to the fullest extent lawful.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or limit your access if you breach these Terms or if we must comply with legal or distributor requirements.
Termination does not affect obligations that already accrued (for example payments processed by Apple/Google under their policies).
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. A new effective date will appear at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after the effective date may constitute acceptance of the revised Terms, where law allows.
